Lori has a unique perspective and teaching style that she developed after an injury that required a fusion of her lumbar and thoracic spine.  She empowers her students to heal themselves by understanding the mechanics of their own individual spinal curve.  Included in her instruction are core exercises that use the breath to help stabilize the spine and build strength.  Her emphasis is on enabling her students to function in a more optimal way while doing yoga and in everyday tasks. Lori has been a certified yoga teacher since 2008. She completed her studies with Elise Miller in 2016.  Since then, she has concentrated on teaching the older population by creating sequences that can be done in a chair. Her studies with Judith Lasater, Katy Bowman, Jill Miller, Balanced Body Pilates, Paul Grilley, Gil Hedley, and Leslie Howard have also influenced her teaching methods.  Personal sessions can be arranged by e-mailing her at info@yogirelease.com
